"Vest Koll" took "Matriks"

The St. Petersburg branch "Vest Koll" got the local operator of home  networks of JSC Kredolink

The St. Petersburg branch "Vest Koll" almost doubled the subscriber  base of ShPD. The company got the local operator of home networks of JSC Kredolink (a brand of Matriks). The amount of transaction is not disclosed. Experts estimate  it at 10-12 mln. dollars.

The Matriks company was created at the beginning of the two-thousand. The operator came to the market of private connections to the allocated Internet one of the first in St. Petersburg. At "Matriks" the network coverage zone in Primorsk, the Vyborg and Kalinin districts of the city was rather dynamically created. In 2007 the subscriber  base of the operator, by different estimates, totaled more than 20 thousand subscribers. The same year "Matriks" carried out rebranding, having merged all assets under the name of MNS. In parallel with it the company reported about plans to develop new areas among which, in particular, was called Petrograd and expansion in Kalinin. Also among preferable zones of development Krasnogvardeysky, Nevsky areas, left-bank part  were called.

In 2009 the operator's representatives in interview of mass media said that in 2008 the subscriber base of "Matriks" grew on average for 20% some years in a row. Means, it is possible to assume that by 2009 it made about 25 thousand. By the end of 2010 experts counted that more than 60 thousand subscribers were connected  to the MNS network already. Approximately at the same time in a number of mass media there was information that shareholders of "Matriks" look for buyers on the asset. However then it was not succeeded to find them, apparently.

By data "Vest Koll", for the end of 2013 the Matriks network served about 33 thousand private users. The coverage zone of the operator remained is equal to "launching sites". "Матрикс" the last three years actively looked for buyers, without developing a network and losing subscriber base", – the general director of TelecomDaily Denis Kuskov  notes.

In turn, "Vest Koll" develops rather actively. So, following the results of 2013 the revenue of the St. Petersburg branch of the company grew by 12%, having made  1,3 billion rubles. The number of subscribers of a home network of the operator increased for 17%, having made  about 37 thousand subscribers. "Such dynamics is observed both due to organic  growth, and due to acquisitions of smaller operators of St. Petersburg", – spoke then in "Vest Koll". Before purchase of "Matriks" "Vest Koll" on number of subscribers closed the first ten operators of St. Petersburg. After  the transaction "Vest Koll" automatically rises by some positions above, having overtaken  such players as MTS, "Summa Telecom" and having closely come nearer to SkyNet.

Denis Kuskov estimates the transaction on purchase of "Matriks" at 10-12 mln. dollars. According to  representatives "Vest Koll", the new owner of the Matriks network plans to perform optimization of business processes of a new asset, however it is supposed that both brands will independently exist.
