Konstantin Yurganov is appointed to a position of the director of infrastructure of a social network of "VKontakte"


The team of heads of "VKontakte" included Konstantin Yurganov, the former technical director of Yota and the director of information technology into "Gazprom Neft". He took a position of the director of infrastructure in the new company.

Konstantin Yurganov holding a post of the technical director of the company of "Skartel" (Yota brand) from October, 2007 to January, 2014 held a post of the top manager of a social network of "VKontakte". It is specified on its page on Facebook.

Yurganov held a position of the director of infrastructure in "VKontakte".

In "Skartel" Konstantin Yurganov was responsible for a design of a network and regional development, projects on system integration, for introduction of technologies and new functions, development of new mobile technologies, etc.

Before revenues to work in "Skartel" Yurganov within a year worked as the director of information technology in "Gazprom Neft", before – at the same position within a year in retail network "Laventa" and within three years in "Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant" (PNTZ).

Yurganov was born in St. Petersburg, graduated from the St. Petersburg state polytechnical university.

At the beginning of May the social network of "VKontakte" began a set of new employees after the company was left by her founder and the former general director Pavel Durov and his brother Nikolay Durov taking a position of the technical director.

The company opened vacancies of developers under iOS and Android, and also system administrators. Earlier it was reported that together with Durov the team was left by a number of key developers – for participation in the new project of Pavel Durov of Telegram. But in the press service of "VKontakte" these data disproved.

The social network, largest in Russia, while works without general director. Pavel Durov holding this position was dismissed by board of directors on April 21.

One day later after the announcement of Durov's dismissal it became known that the founder of a social network left Russia and is not going to come back. As it was reported, the former Petersburg student began work on a new mobile social network on the basis of development of a messenger of Telegram. Making comments on a situation with "VKontakte", Durov declared Russia: "Unfortunately, this country is not suitable for business on the Internet at the moment".
