The optical fiber of "MegaFon" to 10 times will accelerate a network 3G in the Republic of Tyva
"MegaFon" put into operation the high-speed fiber-optical Abakan communication line – Kyzyl


"MegaFon" reports about commissioning of the high-speed fiber-optical communication line (VOLS) Abakan – Kyzyl. Construction of the highway became the largest and difficult project of the Siberian branch of JSC "Megafon" in 2013-2014.

Owing to a difficult land relief the sphere of telecommunications of the Republic of Tyva always had deficiency of the high-speed digital channels of communication connecting this remote region to the main infrastructure knots of Siberia. For work of base stations satellite transmissions and wireless radio relay flights (RRL) were mainly used. Optimum at the time of construction of the GSM networks, these decisions gradually began to experience the strain connected with the prompt growth of a traffic in networks 3G. Besides, natural factors – a rain, snow, a strong wind could have essential impact on their work.

Construction of the fiber-optical highway of "MegaFon" to Kyzyl will allow cardinally (in future to 8 Tbit / c) to increase the capacity of external communication channels of the republic, and already it is now essential to increase the speed of network functioning 3G of the operator. In particular, transfer to "optics" will allow to accelerate to ten times rendering of services of the mobile Internet at least in seven areas and the cities of Khakassia and Tyva. These are such settlements as Askiz, Tashtyp, the Abaze, Kyzyl, Joint stock company-Dovurak, Chadan and Shagonar, and also other large districts located lengthways routes Abakan – Joint stock company-Dovurak and the federal highway "Yenisei" along which VOLS is laid. Besides, new VOLS of "MegaFon" opens soon possibility of start in the Republic of Tyva of a network 4G+/LTE – the latest generation of mobile communication.

Together with it opportunity to use remote education, network to libraries and informative online resources our youth – the most important resource of the republic receives", – noted the importance of this project the minister of informatization and communication of the Republic of Tyva of Body Dorzhuyevna Natsak.

"For us construction of VOLS became one of the most difficult infrastructure projects lately. Extent of the highway made 860 kilometers, it was necessary to lay a cable on territories with very difficult land relief and even on permafrost sites, – the director of Abakan regional office of JSC "Megafon" Evgeny Popov commented. – Thanks to our new highway subscribers of the western part of Tyva and the South of Khakassia will get the same fast Internet access, as well as inhabitants of the large megalopolises of Russia".

The state and municipal governing bodies of the republic, the corporate clients, power structures and other customers having a need for fast access to resources the Internet and expansion of the protected VPN networks will be able to take advantage of VOLS of "MegaFon".
