Tele2 and administration of the Pskov area concluded the agreement of intent in the sphere of development of communication services


Tele2 and administration of the Pskov area concluded the agreement of intent in the sphere of development of communication services. Within the agreement of Tele2 plans to invest more than 133 million rubles in development of infrastructure of communication of the region.

The agreement is signed by the vice governor of the Pskov area Alexander Kuznetsov and the CEO of the macroregion "Northwest" of Tele2 Oleg Telyukov. The document provides expansion of an area of coverage of a network of cellular communication in various regions of the Pskov area where owing to technical restrictions expansion of networks of a fixed telephony, and also modernization of the existing objects of network infrastructure is impossible. Within the agreement the operator will take part also in realization of state programs in the social sphere. According to plans, during 2014-2016 the volume of investment of Tele2 into economy of the region will exceed 133 million rubles.

The agreement fixes already developed effective format of cooperation of Tele2 and administration of the Pskov area, defining main objectives for the next years.

Oleg Telyukov, CEO of the macroregion "Northwest" of Tele2 Russia: "For five years of Tele2 successfully develops communication services in the Pskov area, providing inhabitants of the region with high-quality and available communication. Providing favorable service prices of mobile communication to the most wide range of Russians, Tele2 carries out important social function. We plan and to increase further quality of services of mobile communication and to expand a network covering in the Pskov area. I am convinced that interaction with the regional authorities will promote realization of these tasks".

Alexander Kuznetsov, vice governor of the Pskov area: "The administration of the Pskov area watches closely development of telecommunication services in the territory of the region. Level of penetration of mobile communication is very high, however still there are places where it is absent. To solve this problem, we actively cooperate with mobile network operators and in interaction with municipalities we create favorable conditions for business development".
