Peter Varya is elected the chairman of the board of the International organization of space communication of "Intersputnik"


On May 27-28 of this year in Budapest (Hungary) joint XLII session of Council and the 17th session of Operational committee of the International organization of space communication of "Intersputnik" in which by the invitation of the Ministry of national development of Hungary representatives of the following member countries of the organization took part took place: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Czech Republic.

E.P. Dr. Karol Balash Sholimar, the deputy state secretary of the Ministry of national development of Hungary handled welcome speech to delegates of joint session. In the address he especially noted that Hungary attaches paramount significance to expansion of many-sided cooperation with "Intersputnik", close interaction between Hungary and "Intersputnik" during the last World conference of a radio communication became an example of that.

During joint session signing of the operational agreement of E.P. by Dr. Monica Karash, the president of National agency of Hungary on mass media and infokommunikation – again appointed participant of the organization from Hungary took place. In the address to delegates of session of E.P. Dr. Monica Karash highlighted that an evidence of dynamically developing interaction between Hungary and "Intersputnik" is ratification by National assembly of Hungary in February, 2014 of fundamental documents of the organization – the protocol on amending the agreement on creation of "Intersputnik" and the operational agreement.

Delegates of joint session unanimously elected Peter Varya, the deputy CEO of National agency of Hungary for mass media and infokommunikation the chairman of the board – the supreme governing body of "Intersputnik".

Elections of the chairman of Operational committee "Intersputnika" became other important event of joint session. To this responsible position for the next three-year term Ksenia Drozdova, the deputy CEO for business development – the chief of service of development of business of the Russian state enterprise "Space communication" was re-elected.

Within the approved agenda Council and Operational committee considered a wide range of the questions connected with the current activity and the perspective directions of development of "Intersputnik". To delegates of session the report of the CEO on the main results of work of the organization for last year was submitted. Positive dynamics and high rates of development of the organization, expansion of a satellite resource and growth of number of partners was once again emphasized that also found confirmation in the report of Audit commission on the results of check of financial and economic activity of "Intersputnik" approved by delegates of session for 2013 and the report on implementation of the financial plan for 2013 Council and Operational committee created new structure of Audit commission for the next three-year period.

Taking into account a stable tendency of growth of the income and profit of the organization shown in recent years Council and Operational committee approved the new investment strategy of "Intersputnik" providing acquisition of additional highly profitable assets.

The considerable attention was paid to questions of development of the international system of satellite communication of the organization which key direction is creation of own satellite resource on the basis of new spacecrafts and the most active development of the orbital and frequency Intersputnika resource. Information on a course of implementation of joint satellite projects, and also on prospects of possible cooperation with new partners in earlier not mastered satellite networks was provided to delegates of session. Council and Operational committee approved the work done by management and charged to make all necessary efforts on a successful conclusion current and to the beginning of new satellite projects with use of an orbital and frequency resource of the organization.

By the invitation of the Ministry of Communications and informatization of Republic of Belarus the regular joint session of Council and Operational committee "Intersputnika" will take place in Minsk in the second quarter 2015.
