NMG doubled net profit, and also increased revenue by 22%
"National Media the Group" in 2013 increased the consolidated revenue by 22%


"National Media the Group" (NMG) increased the consolidated revenue by 22%, – the press service of the company reports. It is reported that in 2013 the income of media holding made 14,7 billion rubles. The operating profit made 2,4 billion rubles that is 57% more than indicators of last year. The net profit of NMG almost reached 1,5 billion rubles, having shown growth by 98%.

The published data do not include financial results of "Channel One" which finished year with net loss of 1,03 billion rubles. In 2013 the revenue of "Channel One" grew by 1,6% and made 29,6 billion rubles. The loss from sales increased almost twice – from 2,9 billion to 4,8 rubles. Thus, according to the financial reporting under RBSU, net loss of the company reached 1,03 billion rubles.

Let's remind that "National Media to Group" possess 72,4% of broadcasting company "St. Petersburg-fifth Channel", 25% of "Channel One", 68% of TV channel of REN-TV, 73,2% of the Izvestiya newspaper and 100% of Russian News Service radio station. In October, 2013 NMG received control over the Metro-St. Petersburg newspaper, and in the spring of 2014 got 50% of the producer of TV-movies and series "Arth Pikchers Vizhn".
