Russia thought of creation of national storage of files from the Runet.

The huge arrays of information of a Russian-speaking segment of the Internet created on such resources, as Instagram YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google, are transferred to storage to storages of the USA, including to Library of the congress while in Russia they do not remain in any way", – is told in the document under the name "Fundamentals of the State Cultural Policy" published in "The Russian newspaper".

The working group which was headed by the head of Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov, specifies that "also work on creation of a state program of saving of electronic information is among problems of the state cultural policy".

The CEO of REG.RU of Alexey Korolyuk, making comments on an initiative, noted: "The initiative of creation of national base of storage of information is timely and necessary. Preservation of cultural values which in the twenty first century are created and stored in absolute majority of cases in electronic form – an important and necessary task. From the technical point of view to keep data which will be recognized as a cultural heritage, probably in similar archive. However to keep all content that is published by the Russian users in the Network is not so trivial and enormous task on scale. Precedents of storage of such volume of content are not present in one country of the world, investments in realization of similar idea will be comparable with investments in creation of infrastructure of the largest international IT companies".
