The
Russian market OTT-videoservisov will grow the advancing rates in relation to
the world market of OTT
The
J'son & Partners Consulting company presented the main results of research
of the market OTT-videoservisov in Russia and the CIS countries following the
results of 2013 and forecasts of its development till 2017.
OTT
(Over the Top) – technology of delivery of video signal of professional content
to a prefix (the computer, Smart TV TVs, the tablet, the mobile phone) the user
on the Internet without direct contact with communications operator.
According
to forecasts of J'son & Partners Consulting, the Russian market
OTT-videoservisov will grow the advancing rates in relation to the world market
of OTT: during 2013-2017 the market will increase by 4,8 times, at this CAGR
2013-2017 will make 48%. The total amount of world market OTT видеосервисов will grow from 17 bln. dollars in 2013 to 28,9 bln. dollars by 2017,
and the volume of the Russian market OTT видеосервисов
will grow from 98 mln. dollars to 470 mln. dollars by 2017.
By
estimates of consultants of J'son & Partners Consulting, penetration of
service OTT in Russia made 25% following the results of 2012 and 37% for 2013.
The greatest growth of audience happened in 2010 - 2011. By 2017 spectator
audience OTT-videoservisov in Russia will make 91 million people, having
reached penetration of 63%.
In
the long term for 2017 change in structure of watching on types of devices is
expected. Users will be more inclined to watch online video on Smart TV,
consoles and smartphones, than on personal computers.
