"MegaFon" opened LTE roaming in a network of the operator TIM Celluar S.A. in Brazil

"MegaFon" declares opening of LTE roaming in Brazil where in some  days starts the main event in the world of soccer – the World Cup. Users  4G/LTE from "MegaFon" will be able to spread photo and video files, to communicate  on social networks, to load maps of the city and the schedule of matches at speeds up to 100 Mbps. Thus the cost of transfer of a traffic in networks 4G same, as well as in networks 2G/3G.

Providing to clients the guaranteed Internet access at the maximum speeds, "MegaFon" is organized 4G-roaming at once at two Brazilian operators: On May 16 cooperation with Vivo S.A was begun., and on June 10 TIM Celluar S.A joined it. It will allow to use the high-speed  mobile Internet not only on sports grounds, but also on the objects relating to sights of the largest Brazilian megalopolises.

At the moment "MegaFon" is the Russian leader in number of the countries captured by LTE roaming. Now it is open in 10 countries of the world: Brazil, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy, Vatican, Canada, Republic of Korea, USA, France and Switzerland.

As showed experiment of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, visitors of large-scale sporting  events want to share the emotions and impressions through social  networks at once, without waiting for return to hotels. During the closing ceremony  of the Olympic Games clients of "MegaFon" transferred and downloaded more than 420 Gbytes in networks 2G/3G/4G. Such large volume of data managed to be transferred thanks to  the LTE networks developed in Sochi, and now subscribers of "MegaFon" can use  high-speed data transmission and at the Brazilian stadiums.
