Dom.ru will suggest to play on the set-top box


The operator Dom.ru  announced start of the cloudy game service which  will be available to users of a TV-prefix of "Dom.ru TV"

The operator Dom.ru  (AYR Telecom) announced start of the cloudy game service which will be available to users of a TV-prefix of "Dom.ru TV". Service  will be started this year, and, according to the operator, becomes the first similar offer in the Russian market.
The company will offer users of "Dom.ru TV"  of about 100 popular games, for example,  of Batman:Arkham Origins, Asassin's Creed, WRC 3. Games will be  in "cloud", and on a TV-prefix translation of a video stream will be carried out. For any game there will be enough speed of 5-10 Mbit/c. As the technical partner  of the project the Playkey company acts.
"The chosen technology as much as possible will simplify access to favourite  games  for users, – claim in Dom.ru. – First, she will relieve of need to buy the expensive game console or the high-performance computer, secondly, will save time which users spend on a choice, downloading  and installation of game, regular software updating, etc. One more important advantage  – profitability. The cost of a monthly subscription will be comparable  to the cost of one game, but thus the user gets access to the big  catalog of games".
From "Dom.ru"  all owners of a TV-prefix of the second generation will be able to use  game service. As the game panel the subscriber will be able to use  "Dom.ru"  or own joystick  branded geymped.
According to the analytical company Newzoo for December, 2013, in Russia  46,4 million active players are  (it approximately every third inhabitant of the country). In the report of Mail.ru Group "Game Market of Russia"  it is said that the considerable  part of players – aged people from 18 to 36 years, and  makes  age of the most active  consumer in the industry of online games 33 years.
The new TV-prefix of "Dom.ru TV"  which start of sales took place this spring, accumulated in itself various services available in the world market of paid  TV. Users of service had an opportunity to watch TV from screens of mobile  gadgets and the personal computer (function a multiscreen), within 3 days after air (catch up), to operate the TV and a prefix by means of the smartphone (Dom.ru TV Panel mobile application). Besides, such services, as video  at the request of world film studios and multilevel search of content are available. Subscribers  of "Dom.ru TV"  can watch 159 digital TV channels, including 52 – in a HD format  that is a maximum among operators of paid TV.
Serving 2,6 million users of paid TV, "Dom.ru"  takes the 4th place in Russia by the extent of subscriber base (13% of the market).
