The president of the Russian Railway agreed to cooperate with Huawei
JSC Russian Railways and the Huawei company signed the cooperation agreement


The Russian Railway began the first state corporation which reacted to an appeal of heads of Russia and China "to increase efficiency of cooperation in hi-tech sectors and to deepen communications in the field of science and equipment". The Russian railway monopolist signed the agreement with the Chinese producer with Huawei TV set equipment.

The Chinese company Huawei declared signing of the agreement with "Russian Railways" (Russian Railway). The agreement was reached at the summit which took place in Shanghai "Meeting on interaction and measures of trust in Asia" (Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia). The signature under the agreement was delivered by the president of the Russian Railway Vladimir Yakunin and the founder, the CEO of Huawei Ren Zhengfei.

According to the document, cooperation of the companies assumes joint implementation of such projects as development and modernization of wireless networks of professional technological communication of the GSM-R standard, a broadband radio communication of the LTE standard (eLTE, LTE-R), systems audio-and video conferencings, including a high definition, for needs of the Russian Railway, is told in the statement of Huawei.

Also interaction of the companies in the field of development, developments and modernizations of computer systems, data transmission networks for technological needs of the Russian Railway, primary communication networks of the Russian Railway with use of technology of spectral consolidation of channels and IP technologies, and also other projects is supposed.

The statement for cooperation of Huawei and the Russian Railway was made after publication of the joint statement of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Chinese President Xi Jinping in whom it is said that the countries will increase efficiency of cooperation in hi-tech sectors and to deepen communications in the field of science and equipment. The president of Russia visited China on May 20, 2014. Negotiations of heads of states took place in Shanghai.

On May 20 Huawei also signed the similar agreement with "Rostelecom".

Still about large contracts between the Russian Railway and Huawei it was not reported. Meanwhile, the Russian company and its affiliated operator TTK are known as clients of the American producer for Cisco TV set equipment. In March, 2014 the famous journalist Aram Roston following the results of the made investigation reported that TTK when purchasing equipment of Cisco could participate in corruption schemes.

The other day from materials of the ex-employee of the National Security Agency (NSA) of the USA Edward Snowden it became known that the NSA carries out unpacking of routers of Cisco for installation of spyware and then restores an original packing and stickers. The CEO of Cisco John Chambers even asked the U.S. President Barack Obama to bridle intelligence services which activity, according to Chambers, conducts to decrease in trust to the equipment Cisco and other American producers.
