"MegaFon" Pugachev of the Saratov region started a network 4G in the city


On May 16 for the first time in the Saratov region the "Megafon" company in Pugachev started in work communication of the fourth generation (4G). The main advantage of a network of the fourth generation (4G) – the high speed of the mobile Internet.

The press conference of the minister of the industry and power of area Sergey Lisovsky and the director of the Saratov branch of JSC "Megafon" Dmitry Tselikov was devoted to this event. Speakers told about advantages of a new network to members of the media, administration of the area and the directors of the city enterprises invited to action.

By results of measurements of experts, average speed is equal in Pugachev 15-20 Mbps, maximum reaches 100 Mbps. It is 8-10 times higher than indicators in a habitual mobile network 3G. Thanks to such speed subscribers will be able quicker to load "heavy" files, to look on the Internet of video of a high definition, is more comfortable to use services.

"The city Pugachev is the first settlement of the Saratov region in which the network 4G is started, – the minister of the industry and power of area Sergey Lisovsky explained, – and the "Megafon" company became the first among the companies of the communication which constructed and started in work a network 4G in the Saratov region. In the regional center the consumer has a wide choice among offers in the market of communication. Around opportunity while are limited".

Also the head of department explained that since the end of the 90th years in the Saratov region the network of mobile communication 2G (known for all GSM), allowing to carry out a voice communication was under construction. Then the network 3G allowing to provide high-speed access to the Internet was constructed.

Thus both service 2G, and service 3G are in great demand among inhabitants of area. So, at number of inhabitants of area about 2,6 million people the number of active SIM cards in area exceeds 4,4 million, and the number of users the mobile Internet in networks 3G exceeds 1,3 million.
