SAP and "Rostelecom" declared the beginning of the joint federal project on providing cloudy services

SAP and "Rostelecom" signed the memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of development and providing cloudy services for the Russian companies


The SAP company, one of leaders in the market of corporate appendices, and JSC Rostelecom, the federal operator of telecommunication services, declared on St. Petersburg economic a forum signing of the memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of development and providing cloudy services for the Russian companies.

It is a strategic contribution of SAP not only to strengthening of our leadership in Russia, but also in opportunity for all Russian companies successfully to work in new economic reality", – the CEO of SAP of the CIS Vyacheslav Orekhov noted.

"For us cooperation with SAP is new possibility of further development of examination in the field of hi-tech telecommunication services at federal level, – Sergey Kalugin, the president noted "Rostelecom", – within the project "Rostelecom", will provide SAP completely equipped data-center conforming to requirements of world vendor to technical equipment, safety and continuous work. But the most important – we will give to the Russian companies new opportunities for development of their business by means of cloudy services".

SAP and "Rostelecom" will create infrastructure and will develop model of joint granting a full range of cloudy decisions. Customer Relationship Management System for management of the relations with clients, the decision for control of mobile devices, appendices, documents and the personnel, and others. Cloudy services and resources will be provided on subscription model – rent in the volume necessary for the client.

Advantages of such approach are obvious: clients can significantly cut down own expenses on IT, provide the necessary level of mobility in modern conditions and flexibility of business, and also to obtain guarantees of security of the data according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, having avoided their cross-border transfer.

According to IDC, the Russian IT market in seven years (from 2006 to 2013) grew twice (from 19,8 billion dollars to 38,6 billion dollars), and by 2016 reaches the level of 43,6 billion dollars. Thus expenses on cloudy services in Russia by 2017, according to the forecast of IDC, will grow to 1,2 billion dollars (taking into account public and private clouds).
