The MTS mobile network operator opened for the subscribers LTE roaming in Brazil. Reported "Lente.Ra" in MTS about it. The roaming agreement is signed by MTS with the Brazilian operator Claro.

Roaming will be carried out between the networks of MTS and Claro constructed on the basis of FDD option (with a frequency duplex rating) the LTE technologies. This modification of technology is used in all Russian networks of MTS, in Moscow the network on the basis of modification of TDD works also (with a temporary duplex rating).

Already during the FIFA World Cup which will take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13 the current year, subscribers of MTS will be able to use services of high-speed data transmission in the territory of Brazil in the Claro LTE network.

Cooperation of MTS with Claro in rendering of services of roaming will proceed and after end of the championship.

MTS started providing services of the international LTE roaming in November, 2013. Now the high-speed mobile Internet 4G/LTE is available to subscribers of MTS, except Brazil, in 10 countries: To Great Britain, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, USA, France, Hong Kong and Netherlands.

MTS started the first Russian LTE network in Moscow in 2012. Now the LTE networks of the company work in 28 Russian regions. Until the end of 2014 MTS plans to finish to the 74th of the regions captured by networks 4G, and in 2015 to put them into operation in all regions of the country.
