"Rostelecom" within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum declared start of a beta of the service and search Satellite platform focused on socially significant Internet services.

On official start of "Satellite" the president of JSC Rostelecom Sergey Kalugin declared the following: "According to strategy of "Rostelecom" we come to the growing Internet market which is an industry TV set, attractive to all main players. A problem of "Satellite" – to become a demanded platform for access to the socially significant services of information society raising a standard of living of citizens. For "Rostelecom" it is the new powerful channel of communication with the consumer".

On the basis of the uniform search Satellite technology develops services which will be useful in a life and at work, will help to save time and money, to find important official information, necessary services and the organizations. For example, "Satellite" will prompt a drugstore with the necessary medicine or gas station with the most favorable price, the nearest veterinary clinic how to issue the international passport, re-planning in the apartment, privileges or grants. Also "Satellite" will show daily news or a number of TV channels directly on the site.

At the moment "Satellite" analysed more than 10 billion documents of the Runet, selecting reliable, full and official sources of information.

Services of "Satellite" are focused on the Russian families which look for on the assistant's Internet in daily affairs and the solution of the household tasks, start using more and more the Network for interaction with public services and social institutes.

According to the vice-president of JSC Rostelecom, the chairman of the board of directors of JSC Sputnic Alexey Basov, "Today there is a high-quality change of consumption of the Internet and active growth due to earlier not captured categories of citizens proceeds. "Rostelecom" has everything to develop mass Internet services for the solution of daily tasks and creation of a point of interaction of citizens with the state and public institutes. Our purpose to ensure superiority in this sphere of interests of citizens".

In the closest plans of team of the project – improvement of technologies on the basis of statistics of real use of service, an exit from the beta-version, and also expansion of a product line.
