Putin agreed with China to deepen communication hi-tech
Russia and China will deepen cooperation in the sphere of high technologies


In the joint statement of the Russian Federation and People's Republic of China published on the site of the Kremlin following the results of a meeting of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Chinese President Xi Jinping it is said that the countries will increase efficiency of cooperation in hi-tech sectors and to deepen communications in the field of science and equipment.

The president of Russia visited China on May 20, 2014. Negotiations of heads of states took place in Shanghai.

"The parties intend to support and deepen strategic confidential dialogue at the highest and high level, to increase efficiency acting and necessarily to create new mechanisms of bilateral intergovernmental, inter-parliamentary, interdepartmental, interregional cooperation, to provide the increasing return from the practical communications which are dynamically developing in all directions, exchanges on the humanitarian and public line, to strengthen close coordination of actions in the foreign policy sphere", – is told in the statement.

It, according to country leaders, has to promote success of the large-scale economic transformations which are carried out in Russia and China, growth of welfare of the people of two countries, strengthening of positions and influences of the parties on the international scene in interests of formation of more fair and rational world order.

In particular, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping agreed to increase "efficiency of cooperation in hi-tech sectors" (in the sphere of atomic energy, civil aircraft, space researches, remote sensing of Earth, satellite navigation, studying of distant space and the piloted astronautics).

Besides, the parties decided "to deepen communications in the field of science and equipment, first of all by the joint perspective development assuming an equivalent financial and scientific and technical contribution, a full innovative cycle, reliable protection of intellectual property rights".

Besides, Russia and China supported further strengthening of the coordinating role of the UN in fight against threats in the sphere of use of information and communication technologies.

"The parties express concern about use of information and communication technologies counter with problems of maintenance of the international stability and safety, to the detriment of the state sovereignty and personal privacy, – is told in the joint statement. – Russia and China believe necessary that the world community on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit carried out cooperation in this sphere, through joint efforts counteracted threats of information security, and urge to develop universal rules of behavior in information space, firmly to adhere to the principles of a versatility, democracy and transparency, internationalization of a control system of the Internet, to create the peace, safe, open, partner information environment".

At last, Russia and China supported "transformation of BRICS in the mechanism of cooperation and coordination on a wide range of global financial and economic and international and political problems", including questions of protection of the international information security and maintenance of space safety.
