MTS started providing services of access to the LTE network to users of devices with LTE in Chelyabinsk.

It not commercial start. The LTE network while is developed in the form of not continuous covering in all districts of Chelyabinsk. Until the end of 2014 the operator promises to improve LTE covering in all densely populated districts of Chelyabinsk, and also an indoor-covering in the largest trade and business centers, higher educational institutions and in other "socially significant" city facilities. Average speeds in ookla-tests – about 20 / 10 Mbps.

In Chelyabinsk the System had a license MMDS not, and the company has a National television. So in spite of the fact that the company rendered the services MMDS, from air asked it in exchange for compensation in 19.5 million rubles. The sum in equal shares was paid by "licensees". Such is the work price in the conditions of regulation in Russian.

Announced the arrangement in October, 2013 then construction of LTE in Chelyabinsk began. Megafon appeared the first, the company declared start of a network in Chelyabinsk in January, 2014 and started attracting subscribers. In March, 2014 the company declared also start in Kopeysk. Number of subscribers of the company Megafon in Chelyabinsk region for April, 2014 by my estimates – more than 1 thousand.

Beeline while in Chelyabinsk with LTE did not appear and concerning this region I do not know of plans of the company. I do not remember announcements and other operators. So while there is LTE from Megafon in commercial operation and LTE MTS in the test. That, possibility of a choice it is already remarkable.

For MTS is the 28th region where the company provides the services LTE to subscribers. In total in Russia the services LTE are available to subscribers in 66 regions.
