Frequent failures in work of the Moscow network of "Vympelcom" set the company thinking of their prevention. For this purpose the operator introduces the MSC In Pool technology and installs the additional switchboard.

"Vympelcom" (trademark "Beeline") introduces on the Moscow network the decision for prevention of failures. The general director of the company Mikhail Slobodin told about it. "Vympelcom" made up the mind to such step after for last year the company endured two failures in the capital.

As the director of operation of networks of "Vympelcom" Dmitry Uryvayev specified, it is about the MSC In Poll technology. The relevant solutions are proposed by all producers of the operator equipment including Ericsson, whose switchboards are used by "Vympelcom" in Moscow.

Now in the capital at "Vympelcom" four switchboards. They will be united in a uniform ring and it is necessary to add the additional switchboard which is responsible for prevention of failures to them. In case of interruptions in work of one of switchboards subscribers whom it serves, will be automatically transferred to another. As a result subscribers should not feel failure, Uryvayev explains.

The project only began and it is planned to come to the end only at the beginning of 2015 Krom of Moscow, at "Vympelcom" only in one region – St. Petersburg – more than one switchboard. In other subjects where the network consists only of one switchboard, it does not make sense to put the additional switchboard for prevention of failures, Uryvayev speaks.

Let's remind, large failures in 2013 in the Moscow network of "Vympelcom" were recorded in June and November. And in the second case of subscribers of the failed switchboard served other mobile network operators with which "Vympelcom" in the emergency order included gateway roaming. Also "Vympelcom" provided compensation to the Moscow subscribers in the form of free intra network service in the day off.

In MTS reported that the MSC In Pool technology on their capital network was introduced in 2012 during modernization of the equipment Nokia Siemens used by the operator. And here in "MegaFon" declared that initially chose "the high-quality and reliable switchboards capable to sustain the high level of loading". "MegaFon" also uses the equipment Nokia Siemens.
