AT Consulting introduced uniform system of the accounting of the network Oracle resources in "Rostelecom"
The AT Consulting company introduced in JSC Rostelecom a control system of resources of multiservice networks on the basis of products of Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution
The AT Consulting company introduced in JSC Rostelecom a control system of resources of multiservice networks on the basis of products of Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution. The centralized system was started in all MRF of the operator and was used in work of telecommunication infrastructure of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. The project is one of the most large-scale introductions of industry solutions of Oracle Communications in the CIS and Eastern Europe.
Owing to rapid growth of number of subscribers and expansion of network architecture in 2011 the management of "Rostelecom" made the decision to introduce effective industrial system for management of network infrastructure. The system is urged to support key business processes of the operator: network planning and account, design and optimization of a network, activation of services, execution of demands, etc. As technological base the products of the line of Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution focused on work with a wide set of services and having high scalability were chosen. As the partner in introduction the AT Consulting company acted.
The uniform system allows the operator to keep the centralized account of physical and logical network resources, to operate orders on rendering of services to subscribers, to reduce a share of mistakenly executed orders, to reduce terms of inclusion of services, to reduce losses from equipment downtime due to integration of new system with Fault Management systems.
The project started in December, 2011. During the first stage put to the customer into trial operation in November, 2012, the team of introduction automated resource management of the IP/MPLS networks. Now AT Consulting finishes automation of resource management of MG/MN of a telephony, OKC7, management of services of data-processing centers, VoIP, and also carries out support and further development of system. The system was put into commercial operation in all macroregional branches of "Rostelecom" and in the Corporate Center on December 3, 2013.
"Introduction of such comprehensive decision will help to optimize infrastructure of "Rostelecom" and in too time will provide to our clients more services and products due to more effective use of network resources. The uniform system is constructed on a modern technological platform, has a big resource of development and supports all types of services of the IP networks for corporate clients, including dedicated access to the Internet, all types of IP VPN. It should be noted that the system was actively used in work of telecommunication infrastructure of the Olympic Games in Sochi which conformed to the high international standards of holding the international sporting events", – Gennady Marashan, the head of department of automation and technological support of networks and systems of JSC Rostelecom makes comments.
"The decision brought a segment of OSS-applications of "Rostelecom" to new technological level. Besides already reached results within the first stage of introduction, we carry out works within the second stage covering other segment of company services. A number of integration projects and further development of functionality of system is in the long term planned. Speaking about complexity of the project, I will especially allocate two factors. First, the system was started at a time in all divisions of the company that imposed additional difficulties, secondly, start was made within preparation and holding the Olympic Games that much increased the responsibility for result. "In the course of design and introduction of system it was necessary to consider specifics of work, functional requirements and wishes of all interested divisions. The system was started at the same time in all branches of the operator, from Kaliningrad to the Far East that considerably complicated the patronage period: user support was carried out in the big range of time zones.
