At capital stations there will be paid Wi-Fi
At railway stations of Moscow and some other the Russian cities paid Wi-Fi with the maximum speed of 10 Mbps takes root
Now at nine Moscow stations, as well as at 69 stations in other Russian cities, new service – paid Wi-Fi with the maximum speed of 10 Mbps takes root. About it "News" were told by the chief of sector of communications of Management of railway stations Dmitry Pisarenko. As well as earlier, free Wi-Fi with restrictions on speed and on time that allows to check, for example, mail will be available to visitors, but does not allow to download audio-or the video file.
At paid Internet access one hour will cost 50 rubles, two hours – 90 rubles, three – 130 rubles, eight – 340 rubles. For connection it will be necessary to send the SMS to number 3116. The operator Wi-fi – the Vokzal-Infokom company.
– Service is available to subscribers of "Beeline", MTS, "MegaFon", "Rostelecom Urals", – Dmitry Pisarenko told. – Service action also will extend on territories near the station.
According to him, convenience of the station has to increase trust of passengers to the Russian Railway. Thus service is designed and for people who do not intend to take the train.
– Our task – to make the station more popular and in a certain degree "to develop" it from the railroad towards the city. People have to know that, having come to the station, they can receive the same services and goods, as in shopping center. Telecommunication opportunities at stations also keep up to date.
The leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin called quotations on Internet access at stations adequate, considering investments which are required for creation of infrastructure. According to the expert, only the equipment for one station, for example Leningrad or Yaroslavl, will cost 3,4-8,5 million rubles. About 1 million rubles a month will be operation of system costs. If it is decided to make in system additional services, it will demand big expenses.
– For example, for all who was connected to Wi-Fi, free access to a resource with reference information – an arrival time and departure of trains, their delays, etc. can be organized, – Eldar Murtazin told. – Other option – granting opportunity to report in system about offenses or other problems.
The Vokzal-Infokom company was created in 2010. She is engaged in development and operation of security systems and rendering of services of communication. Owners – JSC Integration svyazi (communications operator in Moscow) and JSC The Russian Railway — Development of Stations (enters into JSC RZhD group of companies).
