history created
The program for the first time passed Turing's test: she could deceive
33% of the interlocutors who decided that
communicate not with car, and with the person.
The computer program a chat boat imitating the 13-year-old Ukrainian
teenager from Odessa the
first among the other could pass Turing's test for artificial intelligence,
reports University of Reading in Great Britain, the organizer of the
competition Turing Test 2014.
During competition of 33% of judges after a 5-minute written chat with
Eugene, declared that talked to the person, instead of to car. Such indicator
was reached for the first time. The program for the first time overcame the
minimum threshold for passing of test of Turing – 30%.
The chat boat was developed in St. Petersburg. The team of developers
included Vladimir Veselov who was born in Russia and living in the USA and
Evgeny Demchenko, the native of Ukraine living now in Russia.
Earlier the program already took part in similar competitions. In 2012
she could deceive 29% of judges. In 2010 on one of actions Veselov declared
that creation a chat boat is for it a hobby.
Partly the success of the program imitating the character by the name of
Evgeny Gustman is caused by that the teenager can be mistaken and make
grammatical and syntactic mistakes in answers, and it will not cause suspicion
in the interlocutor – that he talks to car. "We spent a lot of time for
creation of the character with plausible identity", – Veselov reported.
In conversation of Eugene tells that his father – the gynecologist that
at their place lives a guinea pig. "It is not pleasant to my mother. She
claims that the pig is a pig, even if it "sea". She wants that I
presented a mumps to somebody on birthday", – tells a chat boat Gustman.
It is possible to have a talk with Evgeny Gustman according to the
