The
MTS company since the beginning of 2014 constructed 150 base stations of

Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) reports that since the beginning of 2014 constructed
150 base stations of LTE-ready, increased by 30% average speeds of the mobile
Internet and appeared in ten new settlements of Krasnodar Krai.
In
general, from the moment of signing in September, 2011 of the investment
agreement with administration of Krasnodar Krai MTS invested more than 10
billion rubles in development of networks for creation of technological base on
introduction 4G in the region: the operator expanded network capacity several
times, doubled quantity of base stations of the mobile Internet and to increase
VOLS extent by a third to 11,2 thousand km.
"The
successful conclusion of the large-scale program of development of a network 3G
in Krasnodar Krai created a basis for expansion of networks of the fourth
generation – existence of transport infrastructure and base stations of new
generation will allow us after obtaining all necessary permissions to start at
the beginning of 2015 the LTE network in all cities and the regional centers,
and then within a year – in other settlements and settlements where base
stations 3G now work. In total on the program of development of LTE in
Krasnodar Krai in the closest two years of MTS will invest more than 2 billion
rubles", – the director of MTS in regions of the South of Russia Sergey
Laskavy noted.
For
today covering 3G is available in all territory of the region more than in 2000
settlements and is comparable on coverage to a basic network of MTS of the
second generation. More than 60% of a 3G-network of MTS in Krasnodar Krai
support the DC HSDPA+ technology which allows to increase the maximum speed of
Internet access in all cities and large settlements of edge to 42 Mbps. In 2013
MTS increased network 3G capacity in Krasnodar Krai by 20%, having expanded a
network 3G covering in the territory of 108 settlements.
