The MTS company opened Internet access on the basis of the LTE technology for inhabitants of Belgorod and Stary Oskol


MTS opened access to the Internet on the basis of the LTE technology for inhabitants of Belgorod and Stary Oskol.

The network is developed in the range of 2,5-2,7 GHz with use of a strip of the frequencies of 2х10 MHz, on the basis of the solution of Samsung. The covering can be found in the area railway and bus stations, the Cathedral square, the central market, the Salute stadium, the museum diopama, a recreation park, large shopping centers, in foot zones of National and Sacred and Troitsk boulevards, and also on the central city streets.

MTS the first company in Russia which provides access to a network 4G/LTE in Belgorod. Theoretically available peak speeds – to 75 Mbps.

In Belgorod there is a demand for mobile ShPD, for example, Beeline says about traffic volume in a network 2G/3G of the company in more, than 1000 Tbyte in 1 quarter 2014 that corresponds to a gain more, than three times year by a year. The greatest load of base stations is noted in areas of low building, for example, in the item of Prokhorovk, Mr. Shebekino, the item Chernyank, and in areas of individual housing construction of the item. May and Tavrovo – here while services of the fixed Internet access are a little available. Plans Beeline concerning LTE in Belogorodsky area were not sounded, till September, 2014 you should not expect start of a network precisely. There is in the Belgorod region and a network no Megafon (Yota too is not present).

The basis in July, 2013 declared the Telecom determination for test start of the TD-LTE network in Belgorod where the radio subsystem of the company, but as all of us know, the company so is mounted while could not seize to itself the right for inclusion of the constructed networks 4G in Russia.

It is the 27th region of presence of the LTE networks of the MTS company in Russia and the 66th region where at least at one settlement there is LTE covering.
